Last week was Pride weekend in Calgary, Canada; the performers were phenomenal! There were drag shows, pole dancers on stage, and live DJs. There were lots of companies in the parade the previous year, and while there were still some this year, it was nice that they weren’t the majority. People were signing petitions (which I couldn’t sign because I am not a resident, unfortunately.)
It was like Halloween, with all the candy people in the parade handed out. It was heartwarming to see my partners, Colin and Serge, enjoy themselves dancing to the live music. I wish I felt more comfortable dancing in public, but I did a little with my fiance by our table. There were also witchy vendors there, which was awesome.
I didn’t buy anything because nothing called out to me, and I didn’t want my partners to spend unnecessary money on me. The food was excellent. I went with my usual burger. Then, after pride, we enjoyed a fusion place, and I had the best cheese wontons. The other food was great as well, but those were my favorite. In other news, I am eagerly looking forward to the upcoming equinox. We have dinner plans with friends, which should be lots of fun.
Since my last post, I’ve been playing No Man’s Sky, an exploring game. You can mine, fish, hunt, build, cook, go on missions, and more. It’s pretty fun. I decided it was time to get back to writing as time flies! It feels like it has been an eternity since I last posted. I’ll work on getting more written here shortly. If there is anything you would be interested in reading, don’t be shy. Hop in the comments to let me know!
